President and Managing Partner

Dan'l Mackey Almy has enjoyed a successful and dynamic career in the fresh produce industry for over 13 years.  In 2004, Dan’l founded DMA Solutions, Inc., a leading marketing and business development company, and serves as the company’s President and Managing Partner.

Under Dan’l’s direction, DMA Solutions implements customized business solutions and marketing initiatives for its fresh produce industry clients, helping to differentiate them in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Dan’l fosters a creative, rewarding work environment for the distinctive talent on her team. 

Prior to establishing DMA Solutions, Dan'l held the position of Vice President at Fresh Del Monte Produce, overseeing the Wal-Mart & Sam's business for North America. In this role, she managed a 17-person team comprised of business functions including continuous inventory replenishment, business analysis, and commodity management. She also was responsible for $225 million dollars in annual revenue and 13 commodity categories, requiring a thorough understanding of volumes, seasonality, competitive forces, and packaging alternatives.

Previously, Dan'l spent 8 ½ years with Standard Fruit & Vegetable where she held several leadership roles. As Director of Marketing, she was accountable for all marketing initiatives including the development and execution of a corporate marketing plan, a national advertising campaign, company website, and sales collateral. In the areas of packaging and product development, she launched over 25 new products carrying the Harvest Select label as well as various private labels for both Retail and Foodservice.

Recently, Dan'l expanded her interest in the fresh produce industry by acquiring ownership in two innovative product development companies. With her involvement in these organizations, Dan'l has found a passion for sustainable and functional packaging that deliver solutions for consumers.

Throughout her career Dan'l has remained active in the produce industry while participating in many industry events and serving on the United Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Association Leadership Alumni Board, Produce Marketing Association Packaging Council, PMA/PACK Family Fund Advisory Board and, the PMA Education Foundation Campaign Committee. In 2004, the respect of her peers was recognized when she was named a Produce Business, "40 Under Forty."

Dan'l holds an Agriculture Business degree from Texas A & M University.  She lives in Las Colinas, Texas with her husband Drew and daughter Mackey Payton.
