Featured Social Media Tool: Iconosquare

icono.pngWe’ve come across several tools over the years that have helped us immensely, both free and paid, and we’d like to share these with our fellow produce marketers in 2016! Previously we introduced you to hashtag tool RiteTag, and now we’d like to show you one of our other little “secrets!”

Instagram is one of my favorite social media platforms because of its simplicity and the opportunity it offers to build deep connections with your audience. Unfortunately, it doesn’t currently offer analytics within the application. Well, allow us to introduce Iconosquare!

Discover the Best Time to Post

Iconosquare has a number of features, but one of my favorites is this chart. The app will tell you when your audience is most likely to interact with your Instagram content based on when your target audience is most active. The light gray circles represent the best day of the week and time to post. Following this chart will greatly increase the likelihood of your posts being seen by your audience, which means more likes and engagement (it works!). However, this information is ever changing, so it is important to keep an eye on it.

Understanding What Content Works

Another feature is access to viewing your most liked photos in a set time period. This is extremely helpful when determining what type content works and what doesn’t. You can use this information to craft your content calendars.

As with most analytics platforms, Iconosquare will give you access to great reporting data, but the real “gold” with this software is that it provides information that actually helps you make changes to grow your account.
