Your Fresh Summit Booth: Tips From the Judges

tradeshowFresh Summit, the biggest tradeshow for the Fresh Produce Industry, is right around the corner (make sure you’re keeping up with deadlines!). Attendees spend the day walking up and down the aisles, viewing over 1000 exhibitor’s booths. To make a lasting impression on attendees, it is essential that your booth stands out or it can quickly be forgotten.

When you are designing your booth, ask yourself the following questions. How do I get my booth to stand out among the sea of other booths? How do I get someone to stop at my booth and take the time to learn more about my product? What makes my booth more exciting and memorable?

Fresh Summit judges have provided a list of tips that will help improve your booth and presence at the tradeshow. This is a must read for any present or future exhibitors at Fresh Summit.

Show Off Your New Product / Service

It’s important to incorporate samples of your products into your exhibit. Allowing attendees to see, touch, smell and taste your products.

Signage/Graphics

Whether using a pop-up exhibit with back wall graphics or stand-alone banner stands, the best graphics are colorful and eye catching. Even the most basic graphics can standout if they are professionally produced and visually appealing.

What’s In It For Them?

Don’t forget to communicate how your product/service benefits the end user. Help attendees better understand what makes you different and how you can help them do what they do better.

Exhibit Flow

Place product displays and sample counters along the sides and /or the back of the exhibit space. Leaving the center of the space open and unobstructed makes the space more inviting.

Staffing 101

Since 85% of your success is dependent on the staff, it’s important they have the knowledge and tools they need to be successful. Staffers need to be energetic and engaging. Encourage staffers to stand out toward the aisle in an open and inviting stance.

Get Creative with your Booth Display

Dress it Up! Use designs that present a unique booth environment such as a café, store front, living room, or other inviting settings.

Message Hierarchy

As attendees wander by, they need to know who you are, what you do, and what your offer is. Research shows you only have 30 seconds to grab someone’s attention on the show floor. You must communicate all this information quickly and concisely.
