Love it or hate it, the truth is, social media has become an integral part of how we communicate and engage with trends in real-time. As long as I’ve been leading social media work for brands, hashtags have been a powerful tool that helps users discover relevant content, to help them join conversations, and increase visibility on platforms like Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn. 

Looking back at 2024, several hashtags have dominated the digital landscape, reflecting everything from cultural shifts to technological innovations. And if we take anything away from these hashtags, it is what is top of mind for most people and what we need to think about for our own brands in 2025.

Artificial intelligence has continued its rapid growth in 2024, sparking discussions on its impact on industries, jobs, and everyday life.
