5 Things the DMA Team is Grateful For This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is so much more than just a day spent watching football with family and overindulging in delicious food. It’s a time for gratitude, reflection, sharing, and gathering. While we always have reasons to be thankful, this Thanksgiving, the DMA team wanted to give you the top five reasons we’re “walking in grateful shoes”, to quote Megan Zweig!

5 Things We’re Grateful For This Thanksgiving

We’re thankful to be serving in an industry that delivers good food to good people all around the world!

There’s something so unique and exciting about serving in the fresh produce industry! While we certainly haven’t had a cakewalk over the last two years, we know that no matter what, people have to eat and we’re grateful we get to market products that make the world a healthier and happier place. Through this industry, we’re able to make connections and friendships at a global level for the greater good of fresh produce and those who consume it.

We’re thankful to be together again!

The last couple of years have had many challenges and one big one for companies was the lack of time spent together as a team.  Without face time, company culture can become a very big issue and we found that as a business of folks who like to spend time together in our creative environment, the pandemic was a challenge for our team.  In 2021, we pivoted by becoming a hybrid business where we work remotely several days per month giving us an opportunity to reap the benefits of working privately some of the time while being together most of the time.  This has been a gamechanger for our morale, our productivity, and our safety.

We’re grateful for personal and professional growth.

This year, not only did we expand the DMA Solutions team physically, but we also grew intellectually and in our strength as marketers. In 2021, our team was fortunate enough to attend the Human Leadership training with Kristen Hadeed and HubSpot’s Inbound 2021. Throughout these training programs, we learned how to better tend to our client’s needs and our team’s development relative to personal and professional growth. Also, not to brag but we also got to attend Oprah’s inbound spotlight session!

We’re grateful that we’ve challenged ourselves.

Along with development comes the work to put the lessons learned into action when we’re serving our clients’ brands.  What we’ve learned about ourselves has helped us to do tough work, lean into solving bigger marketing challenges and become more insightful by utilizing analytics to drive marketing decisions.  By doing this hard work in 2021, we’re now stronger, more evolved marketers and we intend to embrace our strengths in 2022 and beyond for the sake of good food and good people around the globe.

Last, but certainly not least, we’re grateful for YOU!

For the past 16 years, we’ve loved sharing what we know with our dedicated readers through this blog. We’re so thankful you are here and willing to learn and grow alongside us to further increase the consumption of fresh and better-for-you foods. We hope you already know this, but our passion is to serve you and this industry! If you need any marketing service, give us a call, and let’s brainstorm. After all, we’re in this together and if nothing else – we’re grateful for that.
