We never tire of sharing the Salad Bar Story.

All the DMA’ers have quite a diverse food palette and enjoy lots of different cuisines. But there is one thing we all agree on, avocadoes RULE! Especially when mixed with an ensemble of other great tasting fresh veggies. Move over guacamole, you have some new competition – Avocado Cups with Bell Pepper and Tomatoes. These Easter egg shaped beauties make a great complement to fresh and health Easter meals!

Here’s how you create these tasty masterpieces:

At DMA, we’ve spent years integrating internships into our company culture and have even had successful remote interns. Not that we’re running a Yahoo-sized biz here, but we don’t entirely agree with Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer’s assessment that remote working isn’t conducive to collaboration and productivity. So we turned to Danielle, our current remote intern, to gather her perspective on the hot topic. And what she delivered, below, is a smart read from a quirky and talented millennial that will provide additional insights for employers and interns alike!

Many people, when asked to associate colors with the month of March, will answer an array of greens in honor of St. Patrick or a pastel palette to match Easter eggs. Not me. I see visions of royal blue, orange, black, and variations of gray and white. That’s MADNESS, some may say, and they’re right. My entire month is consumed by March Madness, the name given the hype surrounding the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

Remember what it was like to be sitting in a classroom wondering what you were going to do with the rest of your life? The possibilities were exciting, scary and somewhat overwhelming, right?

Well, last week, a few members of the DMA team had the pleasure of visiting several classrooms at Texas A&M University, full of young adults wondering the same thing. During our two days on campus, Dan’l, Mackenzie and I met with students in majors ranging from Agricultural Economics and Communications to Marketing and Advertising. Really, we were there to speak about our business of “marketing.” But, it turns out that the students had a lot of great questions about the produce industry (hooray!) that we felt obliged to answer in the classroom and share below.

The Fightin’ Texas Aggies have long been muses and an inspiration of ours and we’ve written about them multiple times over the years.

If I had to pick only one thing in this world to love, it would be handmade art. Which is probably why I answered an emphatic “YES!”, when my college professor, Suzie Garner, asked me to submit some of my own handmade artwork for the Second Annual 4x6/6x4 Postcard Exhibit held at my alma mater, Colorado Mesa University. Art is such a huge part of my life, both personally and professionally, that “no” was never even a consideration.

Starting the New Year off with resolutions is a common occurrence for me. Over past few years my go-to resolutions have consisted of eating fresh and exercise. But this year I wanted to do something different, something generous and inspiring.

Then it hit me.

With a large portion of the country experiencing a freeze right now, many of you are probably experiencing the winter “hum-drums” and hibernating inside as much as possible. So I thought for this month’s color story I would share this little piece of paradise in the hopes that it may brighten up these chilly winter days. And being February, the romantic sunset and resulting sweet colors seemed only fitting.

It seems that all of us DMAer’s have stayed true to our New Year’s resolution of healthier eating, and thanks to Pinterest, the inspiration is endless. We found a beautiful picture of turkey and spinach meatballs that we thought were a perfect chance to whip out our aprons and see what we could throw together for a team lunch. Of course, cooking at the DMA office always means a little improv since we cook without a stovetop and, well, we like to make every dish our own. We wouldn’t say this is the fastest Office Eats we’ve ever prepared, but it was worth the effort and will be sure to be replicated at home. Note: In your home kitchen, step 1 and step 2 can be done in a sauté pan.
